Welcome
and thanks for visiting us. This is a family run website to promote awareness of Autism and the Son-Rise Program™ run by The Autism Treatment Centre
of America™. The Son-Rise Program™ was
developed by parents for parents. It places the parents as the key teachers and uses the comfort of home to treat these
children. Instead of correcting or stopping so called inappropriate and repetitive behaviors and forcing children to conform
to a world they do not yet understand, the Son-Rise Program™
teaches parents and families to enter the child's world first, in an effort to understand
and be more effective in helping them.
With the Son-Rise Program™, the children show
us the way in, and we then can show them the way out.
All three of our children, Blake, Hannah
and Felicity have been diagnosed as being on the Autism Spectrum and each are involved full time in a Son-Rise
Program™ of their own.

Our children Hannah, Blake and Felicity have a severe form of Autism, which
means that they are oblivious to social dynamics. They have limited communication and language ability and often find playing
with children over stimulating and confusing. They prefer many self-stimulating and repetitive activities that are comforting
and predictable for them. They cannot cope with a special needs school environment because of the overwhelming hustle and
bustle.
After exploring many techniques; home schooling using a parent-run,
child-centred Son-Rise Program™ has given our families hope. While life is still difficult and challenging,
these children are showing inspirational improvement that we never dreamt nor ever thought possible.
Hannah is
a beautiful and lively 7-year-old girl who has a twinkle in her eye and loves to play with clay. Blake, 11 years old, gives
great cuddles and never gives up as he tries so hard to master what he is learning. Felicity also 7 years old, just loves
her puzzles and frequently makes us laugh out loud with her infectious giggle. All three children are absolute characters
and their willingness to persevere is inspiring as they all choose every day to participate with us and their team of loving
volunteers to learn and grow.
